We are currently searching for an experienced developer who has an expertise in WordPress coding. It would suit someone who is between contracts or a freelancer looking to take on more work. The role calls for a self motivated, highly talented and responsive individual who is adept at managing their own time and projects. You will have the chance to prove yourself creatively and technically across a vast range of B2C projects.

LiveseySolar is a premium marketing agency specialising in the healthcare industry. The company has acquired more than 50+ different accounts including well known organisations and shares its hard-earned expertise with clients in 14 countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Responsibilities

Support a wide variety of programming projects that use WordPress as the underlying platform.

Produce solid and detailed timelines.

Create well designed and, reusable codes.

Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet client requirements.

Careful back-end coding of custom features: do plugin work, full WordPress PHP and jQuery development, and complete standards-compliant slicing of comps into CSS and XHTML

Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use.

Requirements
You will:

be comfortable theming and writing custom plugins.have relevant coding experience, preferably with suitable qualifications – hands on coding essential.

be able to demonstrate an ability to create standards compliant HTML and CSS for websites and emails.

be expected to stay apprised of news within the WordPress community, most notably new features and changes in WordPress core updates.

have extensive familiarity with WordPress multisite environment and architecture. Ideal candidate will have experience modifying and creating custom plugins.

have the knowledge of content management systems and customisation of WordPress.

know the best available community plugins to use for a given project.

have a background contracting with large software companies, and small businesses alike.

complete tasks within the agreed time frame and always meet or exceed expectations of our clients.

prove examples of previous projects you were involved in, particularly noting how you were involved, and what your contribution was.

Key Skills

Proficient in WordPress coding.

Ability to debug and test own development tasks and projects.

Strong background in WordPress plugin and theme development.

Proficient in Mac OS as well as Microsoft office suite.

Programming languages: PHP, HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Understand browser specific compatibility issues.

Strong end-to-end project management.

Able to use abstract thinking.

A can-do attitude and passion for technology.

Self-Starter, who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction.

Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques.

Be aware of international web standards and protocols.

Very good time management is vital as well as precision on deployment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
