Responsibility:
Technical:
Act as key technical liaison between our customer and VW engineering relating all current and future VW projects
Act as key technical liaison to all interfacing activities within VW - styling, body engineering, diagnostics, wiring, multiplexing, manufacturing, service.
Act as key technical liaison between our customer series design/development and pre-development and VW Electrical Engineering in an effective manner.
Provides technical support and assistance to customer engineering.
Co-ordination of all activities necessary to manage the integration and application
Ensures all existing required and/or related documentation, specification or testing procedures
Develop/review new VW component specifications or testing procedures as appropriate.
Coordinates SW-releases and if necessary update VW ECU (flash and/or EEPROM).
Supports and ensures (SW) bench and vehicle testing at the VW to ensure component/system function
Compare VW complaints and/or requirements with program specifications. Ensure failure analysis of prototypes.
On-site support for design and assembly in the pre-production build phases.
Commercial:
Maintain a professional and pro-active approach.
Develop and maintain effective and efficient communication with our customer sales team and assist them in the communication with customer purchasing.
Quality
Works together with our customer and VW specialists to resolve post job #1 (SOP) production issues via 8D/PDCA process. Supports VW release.
Checks immediate stock situation at plant and advises customer on appropriate containment actions in co-ordination with plant quality - if necessary.
Ensures VW design releases and collates/reviews Initial Sample Report submissions packages
Your Competence:
English and German
Worked at VW site at least two years
Knowledge of the VW Engineering System
Mobile for Business trip to Stuttgart
Resident Engineer must have at background a automotive electronic department which is autonomous working with VW to support by technical question around the automobile electronic
