Description
One of the largest public sector organisations in Scotland is currently recruiting a finance manager for a long term contract.
This client is hiring a Qualified Accountant for a six month minimum contract for a maternity cover for the current finance manager.
The role pays £160 - £180 per day for an initial six month contract that can extend to 11 months.
Key responsibilities:
-Managing the budget for two large programmes going through the business at the moment. Evaluating their viability and ensuring they come in on or under budget
-You will prepare financial information to provide forecasts for projects
-You will manage budgets and liaise with teams across the business to understand where savings can be achieved
-Ensuring that financial reports are produced accurately and maintain regular contact with the business to discuss significant financial issues.
-You will performance financial analysis to present financial information across the business
-You will manage the small finance team
Key characteristics:
-Qualified Accountant (ICEAW, ICAS, ACCA or CIMA)
-Experience managing a small finance team
-Preferably experience in public sector accounting
-Experience of budgeting and forecasting on high profile budgets
Preferably you will already hold a disclosure Scotland however, this is not a necessity.
