NRL Opportunity; Senior Electrical Designer- Glasgow.Our client currently has an urgent requirement for a Senior Electrical Designer to be based at their Glasgow office on a 6 months + Contract.
Electrical Designer working in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Oil & Gas industries
Qualifications & Experience:
* ONC/OND in Electrical Engineering or related subject. HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, preferred
* Previous experience in electrical engineering in the pharmaceutical or oil & gas industries preferably with experience in the design of LV switchgear and HV distribution (11kV & 3.3kV) systems.
* Must be capable of demonstrating experience with either AutoCAD or Intergraph systems with formal training in these systems an advantage.
* Making site surveys, protection methods for electrical equipment in hazardous areas, producing design deliverables:- SLD, cable transits, cable sizing, cable schedule, motor lists, load studies, specifications for lighting, distribution boards, earthing, cable tray & rack, pushbutton control stations, trace heating, MTO's etc.
* Construction support and experience of any CIE tools would be of advantage.
* Formal training / Experience with PDMS will be an advantage.
