Argyll Scott technology have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microsoft BI Architect/Consultant for a contract position based primarily in my client's Dublin office. You will join a growing team within our Business Intelligence Unit, a part of my client's Business Application Solutions Practice.
The ideal candidate will a proven track record in leading and delivering Business Intelligence and/or Datawarehouse system projects with Enterprise level organisations. This is a great opportunity to further your career with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and may suit an experienced SQL BI Consultant or Development Team Lead moving or recently moved into Consulting as a career. We are seeking someone who can create and deliver a BI vision with customers across many sectors. You will be highly proficient working with business stakeholders and managing project teams.
Role Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years MS SQL Server experience ),
* Design and implementation of database models on the SQL Server 2005 or RDBMS platform
* Proven track record architecting enterprise level Data Marts/Datawarehouse
* Development of BI Proofs of Concept
* BI Analysis and production of Specifications and Reports
* Development of T-SQL stored procedures and routines, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
* Documentation of all work carried out (eg data models, configurations, and setup)
* Problem solving and strong client facing skills
Desired Skills & Experience
* Ability to elicit requirements and define a BI Solution
* Experienced in application of Datawarehouse/BI methodologies
* Microsoft SQL Server as BI Platform
o SQL Server Integration Services packages - SSIS
* o SQL Server Analysis Services cubes - SSAS
o SQL Server Reporting Services reports - SSRS
* Knowledge of MS Power Pivot
* Proficient in Datamodelling and use of suitable tools
* Knowledge or experience of other BI Platforms such as Oracle BI and SAP Business Objects a distinct advantage.
* Exposure to other third-party BI tools and Data Visualisation Products such as Tableau, Qlikview etc
* Microsoft Certification (eg MCDBA, MCSD, MCITP - BI Developerey
