You’re amazing at wordpress. Not just wordpress in general – you’re the whole kit and caboodle when it comes to coding custom integrations. You’re the type of coder that believes nearly anything is possible and if it isn’t, you’ll find a workaround somehow. You also have experience integrating real estate search components. Confusing API stuff? You eat that for breakfast and ask for seconds. You’re ready to work with our Creatives to innovate some awesome web ideas to make home searching more intuitive and beautiful. You’re not necessarily a designer, but can catch a vision and code the heck out of it quickly while keeping regular communication with us Californians from wherever you may live in the US or Canada.
The Work
We need someone to add functionality to a pre-built wordpress template so users can search homes from the MLS as well as our own properties. We will also need a custom solution for displaying properties with video, photos, HTML5 tours, and house information. Coder will need to be familiar with the API from the MLS and have proficient knowledge in coding customized solutions that follow strong aesthetic rules already laid out by the template. While this is a freelance job, if we enjoy working with you, it could turn into a long term working relationship.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years building Wordpress templates / widgets
- Solid understanding of PHP, Javascript, and CSS
- Familiarity with the MLS API (used by real estate brokers)
- Built 2+ real estate website components / websites
- Knowledgeable of existing real estate solutions
