As the unrivalled global market leader in our industry, with extensive global growth plans being put into practice right now, we are looking to expand our Tralee based IT division with career focused Project Manager Working on enterprise scale business systems, there are a number of new global projects kicking off, so now is the perfect time to make that career move you have been considering.

The PM is responsible for managing Projects assigned to them on a day-to-day basis for the entire project lifecycle, or a part of the lifecycle as explained on assignment. Thus, this will require the assistance of many people delivery. The PM must manage and be in control of the project process and project lifecycle and not necessarily do any of the technical work, or re-define the process.

Role

  • Works with Sales, when directed by their line manager, and coordinates any work required by technical resources within our organisation as part of a pre-boarding process. This includes such coordination with internal teams in order to provide the necessary technical input to secure a new Client. It is not foreseen that the PM will have contact with any prospective Clients, as this is the role of the Sales / Account Management Function.
  • Works with the Business Analyst (s), when directed by their line manager, who provides both the business requirements, and subsequent functional specifications, to initiate a project within our organisation.
  • Works with the Operations Director, when directed by their line manager, and participates in any project planning work required, which may require working with a Product Group Manager or other members of the company.
  • Manages the day-to-day project, reporting any roadblocks or material risks to the head of the Project Office in a timely manner.
  • Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards, but does not redefine the project process.
  • Provides reporting of projects to their line manager.

Skills:

  • The incumbent will be an outstanding and accomplished professional that can apply their knowledge of the real estate brokerage, valuation or mortgage default industry to improve service for our clients.
  • Along with industry knowledge, they will possess an ability to manage projects and analyze business needs to meet demanding service quality and time constraints for our clients.
  • An ability to listen carefully; analyse competently and then very clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.
  • An understanding of software development lifecycles is beneficial along with the vital ability to effectively establish goals and work within the project team.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Experience of managing software development projects and leading teams successfully.
  • Demonstrated people and project management skills.
  • Minimum 5 years IT experience (3+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of technology project management experience) is required.
  • Negotiation, difficult conversation management and prioritisation skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
