POSITION SUMMARY:As a member of the DMPK team, the selected individual will primarily work in the drug discovery area and will be responsible for analysis of small molecule candidates in a variety of biological matrices including, plasma, whole blood, urine and bile. Additional responsibilities include analytical method development, operation and maintenance of LC/MS/MS instruments (API 3000 AND 4000), documentation of study results and analytical procedures, entry of data in database systems and reporting of pharmacokinetic parameters calculated using commercial software. The candidate may be asked to perform metabolism studies either independently or under the guidance of senior personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field and 5-10 years of directly relevant experience. As a small company, we depend on the creativity and teamwork of its employees. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the areas of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism and be motivated to contribute to the success of the company both individually and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written are expected.
As a small group supporting numerous discovery projects, the selected individual will be expected to work independently and to be proactive in suggesting and implementing workflow improvements. The selected individual will have a good grasp of pharmacokinetic principles and be able to use Phoenix software for PK calculations.
