Sr. Web Applications Developer Java/JavaScriptAn industry leading global media company is seeking a Sr. Web Applications Developer Java/JavaScript.
You must have a strong knowledge in software architecture and design and experience working in a web group that develops high-volume applications. Experience with Java, JSP, JSTL and JavaScript is required.
This is a 6 month contract with possible extension. Some preferred skill sets would be; Strong Database skills, indexes, normalization, stored procedures, views and entity-relationships. Also experience working with Linux and Apache web server platforms would be a plus!
Required Skills:
. 7+ years experience developing with Java, JavaScript and Object Oriented JavaScript
. 7+ years experience with Web Development with Java, JSTL, JSP and XML
. 7+ years experience with Object Oriented Design and Development (must have strong understanding of OO principles and be able to apply them to real world problems)
. Strong knowledge of Web Application MVC architecture and Servlet/JSP programming
. Experience accessing MySQL via JDBC
. Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of at least one structured programming language.
. Experience with Agile software development methodology
. Experience interfacing to frameworks such as Hibernate, Struts, Spring and JQuery with Java and Javascript
. Experience w/technology and development cycles employing test driven development and source control
. Knowledge of Tomcat technologies and tools such as Ant
. Strong communications skills verbally and written
