It is Procurements mission to procure products, materials and services, with the right quality, at the correct moment, with agreed technology at the lowest total cost. Be delegated responsible for the procurement of products, suppliers or business units.
Job Description
Co develop the procurement policy together with the Manager Procurement and support management for development in the specific area. Initate and execute improvement proposals for better procurement. Analyse the needs for procurement of the organization for the specific area. Advise on supplier competitive performance issues to all relevant parties. Act in multi-disciplinairy teams as the procurement expert. Specific job is for managing suppliers of electrical components/equipment >= Manage orders/deliveries and secure overall capacity across Supply Chain >= Define sourcing strategy and criteria for new products towards Supply Chain and select suppliers based on these criteria >= Maintain an internationally oriented competitive network of suppliers and suggest improvements where needed
Education
Bsc or Msc degree; (technical) business administration, other technical education or economic.
Experience
Bsc: 7 - 10 years Msc: 4 - 7 years Broad and relevant experience with procurement, preferably in technical or industrial environment. Affinity with proces improvement in a production environment is required. Technical knowledge of electronics (cables, sensors, racks and cabinets etc) is a pre.
Personal skills
Independent Pro-active (able to build and use internal network to acquire information) Commercial feeling/proven negotiating skills
Context of the position
Reports to: Manager Procurement Manages: Buyers, Process Controllers and Department Assistants operationally. Works in close cooperation with: Supply Chain Engineers, New Product Logistics, other Procurement Account Managers.
