A Mathematics graduate is required for a Teaching Assistant post in a Tameside Primary School. This is a full time role, due to begin immediately for the right candidate who has a good academic record and experience of working in a similar environment.

Larger than most, this Primary School serves a diverse community with a variety of ethnic backgrounds. There are over 400 children on roll, with a higher than average number who speak English as their second language. Their last Ofsted report saw dramatic improvement in the levels of teaching, rising to good with some examples of outstanding. You will benefit from working with motivated staff who work together as a team to create a positive learning environment for pupils.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work along side the two Year 6 teachers and report to them on a daily basis. The role will involve taking small groups of pupils out of class and helping them to focus and raise attainment in Numeracy. With the end of their time in Primary School fast approaching, you will need to be confident and assured in your own ability.

The role may sometimes require you too work as a general teaching assistant, helping pupils on a 1:1 basis in class. Any previous experience in a role of this kind would be an advantage, however any Mathematics graduates with a passion for their subject and experience eof working with children will be considered.

This post is available straight away and the School are looking to interview the right candidates immediately. If this role sounds like something you would be a perfect match for, do not hesitate to apply.

Please send your CV through to Edustaff as soon as possible, all candidates successful will be contacted to discuss availability for interview.
