Description
We are currently searching for a Infra Architect to work in Den Haag, The Netherlands for 3 months plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills:
Service Description.
Establishing an enterprise-wide data model to support and connect the various governance
processes and tools at thclient.
Scope of the service
1. Make an inventory of the tools, repositories and their data models in use by the various teams.
2. Establish an overarching data model, allowing the teams to easily exchange data between the repositories.
3. Establish the link between services, configuration item categories and configuration items.
4. Review and harmonize the services taxonomy
5. For each of the data elements establish the master repository and identify how to synchronize the data with the other repositories in an automated way. Propose a solution design in line with the client standards.
Background
The client is moving to a services oriented infrastructure approach. For that purpose the services catalogue has been set up. There are different teams working on various governance aspects, like architecture, portfolio management, IT cost accounting and the ITIL processes change, configuration, incident and problem management. Each of this teams uses their own tools and repositories to maintain the relevant data:
* The architecture team uses the Troux 9 enterprise architecture suite
* IT cost accounting uses SAS technology
* The ITIL processes are supported by IET ITSM
* Application portfolio management uses a combination of Troux and MS Sharepoint
* The service catalogue is currently defined in Troux 9, but iET also offers an out of the box service catalogue business process modelling is performed on a case management tool, BeInformed and CaseWise
This has highlighted the need to establish an overall data and governance model.
Service Delivery
The client expects this service to be delivered starting March, 25th and finished at the latest
June 30th. The client expects this to be a full time assignment for this period. This service
will be delivered on a time and materials basis.
Service Deliverables
1. The overarching data model including the master repository for each data element and the
synchronization plan to the target repositories.
2. The solution design to synchronize the data.
3. The implementation of the design in production
4. Updated services taxonomy supporting the requirements from the various teams.
The deliverables should be extendable to IT and business services.
Expected skill set and experiences
ITIL v3
Creating and maintaining a service catalogue
Producing roadmaps for service evolution
Experience with service oriented infrastructure (SOI)
Broad infrastructure knowledge
Servers: IBM Z, P, Xseries
Operating systems: zOS, zLinux, Windows, Linux, AIX
Storage Systems: SAN, NAS
Networking: LAN, MAN, WAN
Virtualization software: VMWare, Windows, Zen,
Middleware: Apache, IIS, JBOSS,
Application Frameworks: J2EE, .NET
Database Management Systems: DB2, MSSQL, NOSQL
Knowledge of iET, Beinforme, CaseWise, Troux and/or SAS would be an asset
Datamodelling
Technical writing skills
Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills to organize and conduct workshops
Ability to work in a small team and deliver against milestones
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Excellent knowledge of the English language both oral and written.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture (TOGAF)
Integration of IT cost calculation with the service catalogue
Integration of ITIL processes and enterprise architecture
