Description

SQL Server developer is required by a leading technology team based within a global investment bank over in Canary Wharf. This is a Greenfield project and is one that is set as a multi-year program; the team require a strong SQL developer who is able to grow in to a SQL data modelling role and be able to provide direction in terms of the delivery of a data collection platform.

As the SQL Server Developer you will be part of a team where technology is a key enabler within the program, and spans across 8 internal business groups as well as the central Treasury IT function. This role will give you the opportunity not only to enhance your skill set in the data modelling space but also to work with large data volumes as the data platform will allow applications to request and submit or to collect processed data seamlessly along with interacting with reporting data marts for business reporting.

This role will require you to be very hands on in terms of the SQL technology and to work collaboratively with teams both on and off shore whilst being hands on and will require strong data platform experience. You will also be liaising closely with the business on a daily basis to make sure that there are clear roadmaps in place and there is consistency of high standards.

Essential Skills:

* Strong SQL Data base experience
* Data modelling skills in logical and physical models
* Experience of high data volumes
* SQL server skills are essential
* Investment Banking is Beneficial but is not critical
