The Wall Street Journal, part of Dow Jones) has an immediate opening for a UX/Information Architect to be their Mobile IA Lead for all products, including The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch and Barron’s.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is passionate about mobile and innovative experiences

- Defines "experience" as  multiple platforms, from features phones to interactive TV, as well as smart phones and tablets.

- Defines "mobile" as both native apps and responsive design 

- Has experience working with integrated teams that include product, design and technology, and communicating UX decisions to groups across an organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide expertise and communicate best practices 

Conceptualize projects from description to detailed specifications:

- Work with the Product team to translate business goals into interactive solutions

- Produce creative concepts, prototypes and storyboards to communicate solutions to core team and major stakeholders

Contribute to user research and usability testing:

- Create testing materials and conduct user tests

- Provide iterative solutions based on user feedback

Create documentation used by Business, Development and QA:

- Site Maps

- User flows

- Detailed wireframes

- Functional requirements

Last, but never least

- Advocate for the end user

Required Skills/Experience:

- 3-5 years experience creating mobile solutions. Experience managing a small team a plus.

- Knowledge of mobile platform trends, emerging interaction patterns and the human interface guidelines for native platforms (with a focus on  iOS and Android)

- An understanding of Responsive Design

- Experience wireframing and prototyping native mobile applications across platforms.

- Experience creating personas, user flows and conducting user tests 

- Knowledge of user-centered design and usability heuristics

- Degree in a related field, such as Information Architecture, Architecture, Industrial Design, or Human Factors a plus

- Experience with Agile a plus
