Quality Assurance (QA) - FIX / VerifixA financial services firm in NYC (downtown) is currently looking for a full time, permanent employee to join their technology team. They are looking for a QA analyst specifically with Verifix or FIX messaging and trading/ financial services experience. This will be an automated testing role. Salary 65-80k. No relocation assistance is available.
The company is rapidly expanding in the FX, and related markets. The successful candidate will be the testing lead on projects related to the automated trading interfaces. Testing responsibilities include API functionality and business logic related to order flow and trade booking. You will need to have a strong background and knowledge of all aspects of application testing (unit, component, regression, systems integration, functional and UAT). This role requires frequent interaction with developers, product managers, and client support analysts in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users. Responsibilities include:
* Be the QA focal point of all new development and enhancements pertaining to our FIX protocol functionality
* Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases
* Strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce a test strategy and test cases
* Perform automated functional and regression testing on all internally developed applications to certify them for production implementation
* Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development life cycle
* Work closely with other QA department members to create/maintain the automated regression scripts
