Found in Solihull, near the M42, this Secondary School are seeking to appoint a University Graduate level candidate to support within their Maths Department. The post will be full time 5 days a week, with an immediate start until the end of the academic year in August 2013.

The school itself is comparatively small for a Secondary School, but this helps to engender a family atmosphere at the school, and for a clear focus on individual learning development for each pupil. The school has an excellent reputation and sits in a socially and economically deprived area, with a diverse range of ethnicity's and cultures forming the schools population. The school does have a comparatively high level of SEN requirements.

Facilities at the school are excellent, with up to date modern facilities throughout, classrooms are well sized and spacious whilst the school also boast large playing fields. The school have an excellent senior management who were graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in their last inspection, and provide outstanding guidance and direction for staff and pupils. They set high standards both for themselves and for their staff and you will be expected to embrace this ethos, setting high expectations both of yourselves and the pupils you work with.

Are you hard-working, passionate and reliable with the determination to excel?

In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be shadowing other TA's, in the first instance, giving you a solid understanding of the job specifications and the day to day working. You will be fully supported from your first day by the excellent Headteacher and Head of Department. As a Teaching Assistant, you will purely be working within the Maths Department across the Key Stages, working 1:1 basis and with small groups of pupils, assisting them with their work.

This is an outstanding opportunity for you to gain solid school experience to support an application for a School Direct/Teach First/PGCE course at a School where you really will learn best practice. To apply for this role please e-mail a copy of your CV to Alfie at Edustaff.
