I am currently looking for a senior DBA resource to join a data team, which maintains & administers OLTP and DW SQL Server 2008 R2 solutions.This is for a global media organisation who are looking to consolidate their databases into 2 data centres. If you are looking for hands on experience with SQL 2012 then this is the project for you.
Key Accountabilities:
* Architect an enterprise global central policy and solution for:a) Backup b) DR (Disaster Recovery) and c) Monitoring in SQL Server Ent .-Manage with offshore DBA resources to implement the solutions across multiple continents and data centres.
* Implement complex sql clustered solutions on 2008 / R ENT versions.
* Implement high availability solutions such as realtime ETL or CDC or transactional replication to replicate data from transactional databases to dw/reporting databases at realtime on a large and clustered SQL Server 2008 R2 ENT edition multi-host environment.
* Monitor reporting and dashboard solutions on .net Silverlight dashboard tool called Dundas and also in ssRs both running on IIS.
Proven ability in setting up central backup and DR solutions for multiple datacenters is a necessity for this role.
