Description
Our client is a supplier to the Passenger Transport industry, involved in Automated Fare Collection. They currently require a Key Account Manager/Bid Manager on an interim to permanent basis.
The position will involve c70% Bid Management and 30% Sales (80% existing business, 20% new business).
Specifically, this will involve:
- Keeping track of upcoming bids & tenders and competitor activity
- Assisting in the production of bids & tenders from start to finish
- Acting as a key internal interface between manufacturing, technical, finance & marketing etc
- Establishing and maintaining a key account liaison programme -both pre and post sales
- Giving sales presentations in support of bids & BD activity
- Renew and refresh existing contracts
The position will be based in the office c.3 days per week and working remotely and/or on client site 2 days per week.
This position is offering initially on an interim basis, with the goal of making a permanent appointment. With this comes a company car and bonus scheme based on both individual and company performance.

The client is looking for a candidate with experience of the Automated Fare Collection industry from a supplier perspective. We are looking for someone from either a Sales background, Project Management, Bid Management or a combination of some//all of these elements. The successful person wtill be a self-starter with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
