A leading Technology organisation is undergoing a period of change and there is now a requirement to implement new Revenue Recognition rules as they move onto a new software platform.

This accounts for some 120 projects broken down as follows:

  • Contract type assessment 
  • Identify separate contract components
  • Hardware
  • Design & build§ Service/support
  • Measure revenue at fair value o Revenue recognition
  • Restatement impact
  • Convert all projects the new system in line with new project set up rules
  • Separate contracts
  • Type of contracts (Fixed Price/T&M)
  • Project deliverable (Tiers)
  • Client/project relationship

Each project will need to comply with the new revenue recognition policy and new financial models will need to be in place to support this calculation on a monthly basis. The models must have the ability to be adapted, tracked and analysed as project changes on a continuous basis

The role is focussed on transitioning existing programmes (and potential new ones) to new finance system in line with potential changes to revenue recognition treatment.
