Position Summary
We are looking for a collaborative Front-end Web Developer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to help develop on technical projects (short-term and long-term), contribute on strategic planning for clients and collaborate on user experience designs. We are looking for someone who is passionate about clean and scalable code, who is not afraid to push innovation, and considers oneself an HTML pro.
Responsibilities
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to create smart, innovative online solutions.
- Develop HTML for sites to function on multiple browsers, maintain CSS framework and identify and resolve all issues.
- Prepare all production files in Photoshop and translate into HTML templates with help of developers and designers.
- Coordinate with the technology team to ensure effective documentation is kept along the development process.
- Work with the technology team to prepare time plans and adhere to them.
Requirements
- 3+ years professional experience with HTML, HTML 5, Advanced CSS, JavaScript web development.
- Experience contributing to and editing frameworks, and open-source content management systems (Drupal, Wordpress).
- Extensive experience working with JSON strings and Ajax calls.
- Creative, collaborative, and strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit who is passionate about cutting edge web technologies and interactive design.
- Responsive Design experience a plus.
- Be proficient in coding to the latest SEO and accessibility standards.
- Active in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Pinterest, Flickr, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, time and priority management as well as troubleshooting skills.Strong ability to collaborate across boundaries, detail attentiveness and an ability to work in a fast paced environment
- This position reports to the CTO and works on-site in Manhattan (SoHo).
This is a 2 - 3 month contract opportunity with a view to extend into a full time position.
