Description
Summary:* Proficient running tests on the lab's different platforms. Able to test patient samples and report results efficiently and in an organized manner, and following Standard Operating Procedures
* Review and report data, and analyze data for trends, acceptability and troubleshoot
* Operates and maintains equipment and instruments according to manufacturer and company established procedures including: Calibration, Preventive maintenance, Equipment comparison and validation
* May be appointed to oversee specialized processes or appointed to a unique coordinating role, such as internal studies, QC, safety, internal audits and or other projects
* Participate in SOP creation and revision
* Prepares reagent and control materials
* Participate in the development and validation of new assays and technology transfer from research into development
* Participate and support in vendor/product evaluation and qualification
* Support accessioning operations and analysis of clinical specimens
* Train and supervise Lab Assistants
Requirements:
* Required - Current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
* BS/BA in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science
* Excellent laboratory skills, strong verbal and written communications skills
