Position Profile: 26159 - Print Production

Monday - Friday: Shift 1 (8:00 am - 5:00 pm); Shift 2 (3:30 pm - 12:00 am)

Compensation hourly rate of: $10.75 - $11.50/(Weekly Pay)

Contract Position: 12 to 18 months

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Operate digital pre-press machinery to build new documents or amend existing documents and prepare files for output. Consult with customers to determine document composition, design, content and layout. Determine best materials and processes to meet customers' expectations and budgets. Organize project materials for most timely completion of projects. Oversee project from job intake through final inspection of printed job.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Four years of practical experience in a printing firm with design, or a design firm that worked closely with production printers/copiers.
  • Prefer some work history in a Copy Center
  • Direct customer contact on a daily basis.
  • Working knowledge of the printing production work-flow.
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt to customer needs.
  • Must not be color blind.
  • Demonstrated keyboard proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in spelling, grammar and proofing.
  • Ability to organize jobs for most efficient flow.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to withstand long periods of standing, bending and walking

Education:

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
