we are looking for a workshop manager (permanent basis preferred) with hands-on experience in welding / fabrication work who will be able to:-

§ Assist the Engineering Director with the strategic role and dealing with planning, administration and general management issues, including day-to-day supervision of staff and overseeing work

§ Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.

§ To provide technical advice and support to both employees and client as required

§ Ensure all JBS procedures and work methods are followed where applicable

§ Maintain asset systems including a location plan for the warehouse which will enable effective and efficient picking of assets.

§ Develop and communicate to Engineering Director / QHSE Manager process improvement required to support the Company objectives

§ Training staff, developing programmes and monitoring their performance and progress

§ Liaising with clients and suppliers regarding equipment queries/ requirements to ensure a professional client relationship is maintained.

§ Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met

§ Identify and resolve operational or compliance issues impacting upon customer fulfilment performance

§ Briefing team leaders on the issues for that particular day

§ Oversee general maintenance of work equipment, machines and vehicles to ensure good running order.

§ Ensuring that workshop personnel adhere to the quality and procedures.

§ Ensuring that planned maintenance of plant and equipment is kept up to date.

§ As a member of the Management team, will be expected to perform management tasks and responsibilities, which may, or may not always be defined, or may only be partially defined within this document

Successful Candidate must be available to work 12 hour shifts as and when required, Salary / Rates will be commensurate with experience,
