IT Procurement Manager, 3 Month Contract, £450-£550 per day, Immediate Start, SC Cleared, Banking/Finance, City of London
IT Procurement Manager required by a leading UK Bank to support a major desktop refresh project. As the IT Procurement Manager, you will have previously worked within a Desktop Upgrade Programme (ideally XP to 7), supporting teams to procure services and products that are compliant with government procurement policy. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable (and highly experienced) at working with business users, finance and technical colleagues, up to senior manager levels.
Reporting to the Project Management function the IT Procurement Manager will work across the delivery team to assure the required products and services are procured in a timely and cost effective manager, compliant to government policy and delivering maximum value for money. The successful IT Procurement Manager will have a demonstrable ability to run an effective procurement from end to end with a contract value of c.£20m. You will also have the ability to build a blended procurement with multiple frameworks in parallel.
Essential experience:
- Working on a Desktop Upgrade Programme (ideally XP to 7)
- Experience of working on Government Procurement Activities
- Experience of working within Government Security Constraints
- Experience of building relationships with in-house teams, as well as 3rd party supplies
- Experience of working in an organisation that is subject to stringent security requirements and an ability to understand the impact of these on a desktop replacement/rationalisation programme.
