Title: Monitoring Support Engineer

My Client based in Brussels is an international company leader in his sector.

Main purpose: 
* During the Build phase of any IT Service, integrating the IT Service into the Operations Framework (monitoring, alarming, ticketing, tool);
* During the Run phase of any IT service, giving support and assistance to the Monitoring Team
* Recurrent activities [Run]:
- Participate to the (Shift) daily huddle, in order to immediately capture the improvement opportunities (SOP's, automation, );
- Translate improvement opportunities (see Daily Huddle) into an Improvement Portfolio, targeting either:
- The Monitoring of an IT Service (automating where possible);
- A Monitoring Tool (OSCARE, ISMP, ) (in collaboration with TO/TO/Tools & Solutions);
- The Operations Management process (and associated procedures, templates, );
- Validation, enrichment and publishing of the daily production point;
- Participation to the incidents review, eg Major Problem Report meetings (monitoring point of view);
- Administrate the Monitoring Tools & Solutions;
- Maintain the Monitoring activities Planning;
- Assess the Knowledge Base (OH, ) content with requirements;
- Control, validate and integrate the SOP's;
- Report on TO/TS/OS KPI's;
- Manages the monthly TO/TS/OS Plan-Do-Review of the KPI's (Continuous Improvement);
- Collect Proof of Evidence for ISAE3402, PCI, ISO, audits à Monitoring, SCY, (accountable)

* Project activities [Build]:
- Integrate new IT Services into the Monitoring Framework (OSCARE, ISMP modules) according to the 'International First Line Support Policy';
- Collect maintain & dispatch knowledge about new projects;
- Contribute to the definition of the training needs;
- Train the Monitoring team on new projects (Tooling);
- PIR of the deployed projects/changes (curative, evolutionary);
- Project management inside TS/OS

Skills required:
*
Bachelor degree (or higher) in IT, Electronics or Industrial Engineering,
* Experience in a Monitoring function is a plus
* Experience in transaction processing or financial processing is a plus;
* Experience in monitoring tools and ticketing tools;
* Basic body of knowledge in OS, DBMS, Middleware, Network, Scripting, schedulers,
* Experience in end-user informatics;
* Bilingual Fr/Nl, good knowledge of technical English;
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
* Sense of responsibility (End-To-End ownership of a problem, result oriented);
* Able to work in team but also in autonomy;

Working hours:
*
Service Coverage: 7:00 - 18:30
* Stand-by: 24h/24h, 7days/week, 1 week on 4, intervention on escalation only (when autonomous), 1 Saturday on site/month (when autonomous) [Escalation HSM & Telco]
