Senior QA Testing Engineer - Dublin Contract - 6 months - International Financial Services Company
My Clients Irish team has responsibility for an International Cross-Business Tracking, Routing and Control products design, development and implementation in to the business. International releases will be rolled out throughout 2013 and they are developing it using Flex, AJAX and Java tools.
The Senior QA Engineer within this team will be responsible for;
- Create functional and regression test plans and test cases.
- Execute test cases adhering to automation and manual procedures, processes, and best practices.
- Work with project team to clearly understand requirements and test data needs.
- Contribute to project schedule on QA tasks and balances work accordingly to meet timelines.
- Participate in formal reviews of application designs, business and functional requirements.
- Initiate and own test cycle tasks including schedule/conduct triage meetings, create/send daily test reports, and seek defect resolution.
- Identify functional tests to be used for regression tests and gain consensus from project team.
- Build automated regression tests.
Experienced required includes;
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- At least 4-5 years Quality Assurance experience with functional and regression testing methodologies
- Experience of Web services testing and Soap tools eg SoaTEST
- Experience working on Agile projects
- Experience in Rational Products ( Rational Test Manager, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Functional Tester, Rational Team Concert)
Technologies being used include; Web services, WSDL, SOAP, XML, Database store procedures, Networking concepts, SQL, Jython
