I am working with my client who is searching for a 'SAP Materials Management Specialist' on a contract basis, based in the Midlands.

Due to a busy growth period over the past couple of years they require additional workforce, and want someone to come in who has good experience with SAP MM and across a variety of modules.

The successful candidate will require experience in:

* MM, WM, PI, PP, FI plus additional SAP Module Experience.
* Schedule Management (Networks and Reference Points)
* BOM (Bills of Materials) Creation by reference to standard BOM and project specific P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagram)
* Creation of Purchase Requisitions
* Evaluating 'AKAL' cost estimates
* Evaluating PS200 Project Cost Reports
* WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
* Standard numbering system
* Plant Installation

In basic MM form, experience doing the following will be required:
  • Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Management
  • SAP experience
  • MM experience - Master Data, Purchasing and associated records
  • Configuration and Customisation in various modules but MM in particular
  • Team lead on MM Data Cleanse project
  • SD, PM, PP, WM & PUR
  • Material, vendor and customer Master Data
  • MRP - including MRP profiling / forecasting
  • Planning, building, cut-over, Go-Live and Hyper-care experienced
  • Able to create and set BOM'S, KPI's,SLA's and SOP's and set governance for MM
  • Producing counts on SAP and resolving any discrepancies
  • Complete thorough investigations on SAP on missing equipment and resolving problems
  • Maintaining schedule and count records on Excel
  • Compiling monthly reports on SAP
  • Identifying redundant stock for deposal and maintaining accurate records to reflect
  • Inventory Analyst
  • Procedures reflect current legislation
  • Assisting QHSE department with internal and external audits
  • Maintaining health and safety standards
  • Trained to a high level in most warehouse management SAP transactions
  • Booking in and out material
  • Building stock packs for major assemblies
  • Ordering consumables
  • Making up orders
  • Dealing with cycle counts


Ideally, a candidate from a technical / engineering background with the knowledge and ability to understand the purchasing, engineering and project planning processes would be ideal, as you will use this knowledge to develop information required in the SAP system.

In addition, plant installation experience will be required as the client requires a candidate to be able to implement themselves within their current workforce, and not need cross training.
