EMC Storage Architect (Clariion) Athlone, Dublin

My Client, a leading telecoms company is looking for a Senior EMC Storage Architect for a long term contract based in Athlone.

Key Requirements:
- Designing solutions to integrate SAN and NAS.
The solutions are towards Solaris and/or Linux based hosts and will push the chosen SAN EMC Clariion to its system limits so an in depth knowledge of how the Clariion works behind the exposed interfaces and functions is essential
- This role will involve the integration of and defining the storage for large software applications that run on a Solaris or Linux based operating hosts. The systems in question are ENIQ Events, ENIQ Statistics, OSS RC and COMINF. These systems are primarily deployed on X86 blades and make use of Unified Storage (the storage solution is based on a Symantec SFS NAS and an EMC Clariion SAN). Some of these hosts are data throughput intensive and require in depth knowledge of EMC SAN architecture to solve and build solutions that cater for stringent requirements on redundancy, backup, snapshot, upgrade etc.
- As well as solving the storage integration to fulfil any requirements, the role also involves participation in subsequently building the integration solution.
- A rich knowledge and proven experience of participating in designing solutions to install, upgrade and configure such systems is a necessity.
- Knowledge of Solaris/Linux and Scripting are highly advantageous to this role.
- SAN Configuration: EMC Clariion
- NAS Configuration or: Symantec File Server (SFS), Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server
- Strong knowledge of Solaris (Sparc & X86) (not mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of Linux (not mandatory)
- Shell Scripting (Korn/Bash) (not mandatory)
- Perl (not mandatory)

The candidate must also display the ability to work with others within a close working team. The candidate will be required to mentor others within the team (both experienced and inexperienced team members) on Integration solutions and technology.
