Direct client is looking for a solid Sr. QA. This is a minimum one year project.Job/Assignment Description:
The candidate will perform the testing role and must be fluent in QTP and QC.
Required testing skills:
Ability to write a test approach/strategy. Experience using automation tools - Quality Center (QC) and Quick Test Professional (QTP) are the preferred tools. Defect reporting & analysis. Ability to conduct test risk analysis. Understanding of SQL and DB2 database services. Understanding of SQL Queries, Views, and Stored Procedures. Experience with XML and possess the ability to update, edit, and create test data in using XML. Understanding of HTML. Experience with basic testing types including: Component (Black Box), Security, Usability, Web Services, Mainframe, Database, and Desktop/Client.
Preferred testing skills:
Experience with Framework for Integrated Test (FIT). Experience with Mobile Native App and Mobile Web testing.

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst (IT QAA) Senior is a position that possesses a thorough understanding of software testing practices, policies and procedures. Utilizes a variety of testing approaches and techniques, typically providing functional, black-box and user acceptance testing expertise. Utilizes in-depth understanding of the business flow, interconnections of business processes, compliance requirements, common system usage patterns or system behaviors to exercise the system under test. Creates tests that model business scenarios to validate that the system functions as intended and to expose risks related to unintended consequences. Provides recommendations for improving testing approaches, processes and procedures.
Uses experience and imagination to ensure that information systems products and services are functioning as expected and meet end-user requirements. Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and reduce redundancies in testing efforts, minimize complexity, and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness. Typically, tests completed software or end-to-end transactions for projects with large and diverse scope. Assesses the need for automation and obtains assistance in creating automation fixtures and harnesses. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Works on problems of diverse scope and high complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Functions as a Test Lead for small to medium complexity testing efforts. Provides guidance on complex issues to others as needed.
