Operations Software DeveloperA top investment management firm in the Stamford area of Connecticut is currently searching for an Operations Software Developer. The right candidate will have an excellent opportunity to join this quantitative trading firm, and will be responsible for developing and supporting software used by the operations team. This includes designing, coding, and debugging operations, reporting, or accounting applications using C++, Perl, and SQL on Linux platforms. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to test and develop code, write requirements, and manage product deliverables.
The skills required for this position include strong knowledge of Object-Oriented C++ programming, Perl, advanced experience in querying large databases e.g. SQL and Linux shell commands. Those that have excellent C++ skills will be considered if they demonstrate aptitude for becoming proficient in Perl. The right candidate is self-motivated, has excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
