Description
A key client of mine based in Buckinghamshire is looking for a Project engineering with mechanical - design to manufacturing experience. This will be for an initial 6 month contract.
Role:
The candidate will be carrying out project engineering service, embracing the planning, design & control of new product developments and major customer specified systems. Tasks also encompass responsibility for technical specification, mechanical analysis, conceptual design and production/feasibility of products
She/he will be involved with:
*Liaison with Engineering management, Customers and the Sales organisation to prepare product and systems specifications.
*Conceptual design of new products and systems
*Analysis, modelling and testing of products and systems to verify product specification.
*Documentation for the realisation of projects including documents defining a design for manufacturing, design development reports, FMEA and any other relevant analysis or reporting required to complete technical files.
*Liaise effectively with customers engineering teams and provide a point of focus for all engineering related matters with them
*Theoretical analysis and simulation modelling of product and system requirements.
*Support the Production function in the manufacture and the testing of new products and systems.
*Provide technical support and continually liaise with Sales, Marketing,
*Introduce and develop analytical techniques that can be implemented within the Engineering department.
*Report regularly and routinely to the customers, identifying and reporting on problems affecting the progress of projects.
Skills:
*Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
*Ideally at least 5 years post-graduate experience
*Experience of Product and System Development
*FEA, CFD, System Modelling/Analysis packages
*Solidworks Experience
*Chartered status would be advantageous
*Pneumatic industry or related discipline involving gas or fluid handling would be advantageous.
