My client is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join on an exciting contract opportunity. Ideally you will have previous experience working on wealth management and regulatory reform projects at a senior level. This role will be best suited to someone who has come from a strong insurance/banking financial background.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complete and accurate understanding of how the business unit conducts its business. Maintain detailed knowledge of the business's current technology and infrastructure.
  • Provide senior level consulting services and solution requirement document to internal business groups on projects designed to improve their business results.
  • Consult to development teams on requirements, and implementation. Provide guidance and advice to clients in use of business applications, including advanced functions and productivity enhancement.
  • Document mapping.
  • Updating business procedures.
  • Analyse business and user needs, document requirements, and revise existing systems logic difficulties as necessary.
  • Creating information packs.
  • Anticipating new/emerging application requirements by analysing manual procedures/systems to identify features and considerations.
  • Analysing and interpreting changes and trends in organisations technology to determine their impact and assessing opportunities to support new business requirements.
  • Procedural errors may cause production outages resulting in delays in client service and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Use Case Analysis, Definition and Development-Knowledge of and ability to utilize use cases to analyse, define and document business requirements and application scenarios.
  • 3+ years BA experience
  • Wealth Management experience, preferably working on regulatory reform projects
  • Experience eliciting both business and functional specifications
  • Requirements Analysis-Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting and clearly defining and documenting required business functionality as well as information requirements.
  • Relationship Management-Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.
  • Problem Solving-Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.
  • Ability to consult for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Extensive solution requirements analysis and documentation experience
  • Technical systems requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). MS Visio.
  • Business knowledge/experience.
  • Great analytical thinking and problem solving
  • A degree in IT/business qualifications will be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
