Description

Electrical maintenance engineer required for a Bio ethanol plant in the Northeast. As a maintenance engineer you will report directly to the maintenance manager and be responsible for maintaining the plant.
You will also have direct responsibility for other contractors on site
Below is a brief summary of the job description .
  • Communicate and demonstrate commitment to best HS&E practices and standards.
  • Execute the responsibilities of Engineers/Technicians and all employees as outlined in the HSE responsibilities overarching document.
  • Establish working Electrical engineering methods and processes that are compliant with EU/UK legislation.
  • Provide appropriate Electrical support and focus to maintain process plant reliability, availability and integrity targets.
  • Develop, implement and manage, as requested, all day to day maintenance activities, including development of a weekly planning process, assignment of work priorities and management of Maximo work order backlog KPI.
  • Take responsibility for, as requested, the management of any number of small to medium projects from inception through to completion.
  • Monitor agreed engineering Key Performance Indicators.
  • Monitor and update the site Electrical asset maintenance programme.
  • Support appropriate Electrical asset management methodologies to continuously improve asset value.
  • Undertake field Electrical troubleshooting support role, assisting engineering to maintain plant reliability and operational availability.
  • Work closely within site Electrical team to ensure safe and efficient implementation of asset maintenance requirements.
  • Support process plant shutdowns in terms of planning, scope development and execution.
  • Develop good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders committed to furthering the interests of Nippon Gohsei.
  • Support and promote standardisation of engineering practices and processes.
  • Support effective Electrical technology and capability transfer channels throughout the organisation (NGUK,Japanand Noltex).
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with stated Electrical maintenance policy.
  • Advise on design work by Electrical engineering contractors.
  • Identify areas of high cost Electrical maintenance and investigate ways of minimising costs.
  • Monitor and develop Electrical preventative maintenance procedures
  • Carry out HV andLVswitching as required
  • Monitor compliance of Electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
  • Monitor maintenance of the site fire alarm system
  • Advise on technical electrical aspects of new installations
