Senior RAN DESIGN ENGINEER - Telecoms - Netherlands
I am currently recruiting for a 2G RAN design engineer to work for a leading telecoms company based in the Netherlands.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Daily capacity management of BSC load;
Produce High Level & Low Level designs or contribute to cross domain designs
As a designer, participate in and contribute to RAN Soft- and Hardware upgrade projects (implement and/or verification of new software releases);
Contribute and deliver feature introductions and parameter changes in the 2G RAN;
As a designer participate in and contribute to Pilot of Trial projects;
As a designer, provide support to the roll-out process of SDU Network Deployment;
Essential Skills:
*Strong experience and understanding of 2G SW Features, their parameters, and the corresponding RAN Optimisations possible on network level
*Preferably several years of work experience with Operators network planning department
*Broad Telecoms, IT and Technology experience
*Broad overview of GSM/UMTS Access, Core and Transport (Transmission, IP) technologies
You should also have good communication skills both in English and preferably Dutch although the ability to speak Dutch is not essential.
You will have an advanced understanding of Wireless Network architecture, Technologies, concepts and standards (eg 3GPP, ITU-T)
