Mechanical Project Engineer/Development Engineer/Test and Development Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Contract: 6 months
Rate: Up to £35.00 per hour
The Company:
A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.
The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a project engineer to join their busy team. The project engineer will be responsible for identifying test requirements for gas turbine fuel systems. They will also be responsible for the preparation of design, qualification and other validation or development test plans and the identification of rig and instrumentation requirements. The project engineer will also analyse the test data, produce test result trends using Microsoft packages and Labview. They will also identify, report and resolve and process failures or problems. In addition to this the project engineer may also be required to assist customer support to investigate service failures as required.
The Candidate:
A degree or HND qualified project or development engineer, you will have experience or working on test and development projects within the aerospace industry. As you will be working with gas turbine fuel systems, an understanding of gas turbine fuel systems, pumping, airframe fuel systems, gas turbine accessories, flight control systems and hydraulics and fluids would be preferred, but candidates with relevant experience working on similar projects and equipment will also be strongly considered.
