Publishers Clearing House (PCH), headquartered in Port Washington, NY, is a multi-channel direct marketer of value-based merchandise, magazines and promotional offers anda leading provider of digital "play and win" entertainment.

We're looking a conceptual, fast-paced writer to partner with our online consumer engagement team. Working on new creative for our 1MM+ customer file and the pch.com home page, you will brainstorm ideas, write compelling sweepstakes-oriented copy for pch.com, landing pages and more, as well as enhance engagement by creating enticing, interactive consumer experiences. You will also be involved with translating desktop creative for the mobile environment. You will be responsible for original content and interact with various teams to develop, schedule, and produce projects through completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Online Creative Director, and creative and marketing teams on concepts for consumer engagement projects, email packages and more
  • Continually test and optimize creative to increase ROI
  • Deliver complete, error-free copy with all necessary legal language
  • Keep team members and managers informed of copy changes
  • Assist in establishing internal creative and production processes
  • Proofread copy and get final approvals from Marketing, Creative, and Executive Management
  • Interact daily with designers, developers, legal department and marketing personnel
  • Review competitor websites, catalogs, and magazines to stay on top of the latest industry trends

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 4 years experience in online advertising/direct marketing
  • Excellent organizational, time management, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to meet short deadlines, work in fast-paced environment, and interface across teams
  • Innovator who gets a charge out of working in a collaborative, results-oriented environment
  • Creative, flexible and willing to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks against resource availability
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with brand goals and deliver projects on time
  • Ability to make quick decisions, as well as problem solve. Judgment skill to know when to defer to others
  • Ability to offer new ideas, as well as take direction
