A reputed banking group with global operations, has a new vacancy within it's Legal and Compliance department inLondon. This banking group seeks to bring on board a senior Governance professional to manage the risk and assurance activity across multiple business areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Operational risk professional that is familiar with Legal and/or compliance regimes in banking.As VP, your responsibilities will include:
- Drive improvements in risk awareness and risk management capability
- Ongoing process improvement and trend analysis
- Support direct reports with the embedding of all relevant risk and regulatory requirements, including Governance Requirements
- Oversight of the finance support for the business areas including headcount tracking; RAF/MTP planning; cost centre management and invoicing
- Provide leadership and coaching to ensure that all staff are aligned to the goals and culture of the team
Key Skills required:
- Requisite knowledge of building and maintaining Management Information
- Provide suggestions to Business Management as to how they can address control issues raised and/or non-compliance to policy
- Knowledge of end-to-end process and service management concepts
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to timely delivery
- Strong analytical experience within a quality control, compliance, operational risk or audit function is essential
- Knowledge of Operational Risk in a banking institution
Location:CanaryWharf
Salary range: £65 - £80k
