General Description

Responsibilities:
Adhering to SLAs
ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to
Data Center planning/Migration and designing of Web & Middleware infrastructure module
High availability and clustering for Application Server and Messaging/Integration Server "like WebSphere AS, MQ and MB" Using Hardware and software products
Work closely and as a technical team member, determine the best solution from the set of possible solutions based on client needs & existing infrastructure, scalability, maintainability, and extensibility
Expert in POC for technology refresh, upgrade and transformation
Translating logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements, existing systems and any potential safety-related aspects
Documenting all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
Ensuring architecture compliance to the Banks standards are adhered to by all dependent stakeholders and suppliers
Ensuring that projects follow correct design governance principles.
Architect/Design Clustering, Work load balancing in client environment.
Educate the team on new releases of the product
Conduct Product specific Trainings at department level
Assist the team in identifying issues and in preparing Root Cause Analysis for Major incidents/problems.
Analysis and Design application hosting on Middleware product suits.
Architecture planning and designing the application platform, ie What should be OS, Middleware product, Database and their storage techniques
Broad knowledge of high-performance, highly-available computing environments and integration of technical products into complex environment
Vast experience in migrating/upgrading the Middleware product suits
Mentoring/Training Team Members
Handling tickets/requests
Identifying issues with existing implementation level architectures and follows appropriate procedures for resolution
Troubleshooting technical issues
Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration

Technical Requirements
Installing the WebSphere Application Server( IHS,Plug-ins,App Servers etc )
Configuration for Workload management, High Availability systems using WAS Cluster and VERITAS Cluster environment
Implementation of recovery, backup procedures
Perform Analysis of the Middleware Solution and recommend design improvements
To work closely with development teams on the design and implementation of Middleware applications
Troubleshooting Escalated Technical issues related to Middleware Infrastructure
Manage and assist the resolution of complex issues that span multiple Technologies and teams
Perform Analysis of the issues, prepare Root Cause Analysis and recommend solutions for improvements.

Total : 8+ Years of experience
Relevant : Minimum of 6 years. in WebSphere Application Server Administration/Support

Certification requirements
IBM Certified WebSphere Applications Server Core and Advance ND.
