We are looking for WebSphere MQ Administrator  for an urgent opening with one of our esteemed clients.

Job Title: WebSphere MQ Administrator
Location: Dublin, Ireland

Job Description:
General Description:           
Responsibilities:-           
Adhering to SLAs           
ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to           
Reporting to the Track Lead/Team Lead           
Helping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems           
Handling tickets/requests           
Troubleshooting technical issues           
Ensuring that the processes are adhered to           
Understanding of Multi-geo support environment           
Responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration           
Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA            
Responsible for building/maintaining a test environment            
Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction           
Implementing new technologies and design changes           
Implementing Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support           
Applying patches/upgrades to maintain security level           
Assist in implementation of MQ/Data center consolidation           
Perform MQ performance monitoring and implement recommendations           
Day-to-Day reporting tasks           
Vendor co-ordination & follow-up (Ex. Contacting IBM for PMR)           
Handling tickets/requests            
            
Technical Requirements                    
Installing, configuring and maintaining MQ Infrastructure           
Day to day MQ administration & support tasks on Production Servers & Clustered environment       
Availability Management for MQ.           
Monitoring and Basic Troubleshooting.           
Knowledge about various MQ versions, MQ components - Queues, channels, MQ logs and day-to-day tasks related to it           
Having Basic knowledge about MQ on various OS - UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux), windows, Mainframe.   
Can take up daily activities based on SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)           
Managing MQ components - Queues, channels, listeners etc.           
Having knowledge of checking MQ connectivity and assist in troubleshooting issues that span multiple Technologies and teams           
Implementation of MQ Patch, Security policies           
Configuration for Workload management, High Availability systems using MQ Cluster and Veritas Cluster environment           
Implementation of recovery, backup procedures
SSL Configuration on WebSphere MQ
Good exposure on MQ Tracing           
Perform Analysis of the Middleware Solution and recommend design improvements           
Having advanced knowledge about MQ on various OS - UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux), windows, Mainframe   
Identify system performance bottleneck and fine tune the MQ Infrastructure for optimal performance   
Development of system management routines for new projects (Ex. monitoring tools - Qpasa)       
To work closely with development teams on the design and  implementation of Middleware  applications   
Troubleshooting Escalated Technical issues related to Middleware Infrastructure           
Manage and assist the resolution of  complex issues that span multiple Technologies and teams       
Perform Analysis of the issues, prepare Root Cause Analysis and recommend solutions for improvements.
Knowledge about various MQ versions, MQ components - Queues, channels, MQ logs and day-to-day tasks related to it           
Knowledge about MQ on various OS - UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux), windows, Mainframe.   
Should be strong in using MQSC commands. Familiarity with PCF commands is an added advantage
Experience with in product & Fixpack installations and version upgrades of WebSphere MQ

Experience with MQ Installation, Upgrades and Patching, Migration, Backup, Recovery           
Experience on following will be added advantage           
MQ Explorer           
Monitoring Tools (like QPASA)           
Ticketing Tools (like Remedy, CA)           
Putty           
FTP           
WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Webmethods            

Certification requirements:   
IBM MQ Administration Certified           
ITIL v3 foundation
