World leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry currently have a long term contract for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with experienced of UNIGRAPHICS (NX 7.5)

The client designs, develops, integrates, markets and services advanced systems used by the major global semiconductor manufacturers to create microchips that power a wide array of electronic, communications and IT products.

Working within Mechanical Development- responsible for specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechanical (sub)-systems and components you will be required to contribute to the development of products by specification, collecting requirements, concept study, VOLU-control, interface definition, design, mechanical calculations (FEM), drawings, qualification, integration and test execution of mechanical components or subsystems.

Duties will include:-
- Specifies and designs the (sub-)modules and/or tooling to realise the required performance
- Uses state of the art design methods and construction principles to ensure adequate designs that can be realised from a technical and supply chain perspective
- Store the BOM in our database according EC process procedures
- Drives the qualification of the design by the specification of tests and the design and realisation of test equipment
- Define and ensures that needed prototypes are planned, built and tests are carried out
- Delivers the technical product documentation that is needed to release the design for volume production.

Education
- Bachelor degree with 2 to 4 year experience or more
- Master degree with 1 to 2 year experience or more.

Experience required for this role:-

Mechanical Design experience within an industry such as:- Semi-conductor, aerospace, aviation, automotive, satellites, machinery etc.
- Well educated in the application of construction principles and accurate position principles
- Ability to design concepts and a pragmatic attitude and capability to translate concepts into practical designs that meet the specified requirements
- Experience with 3D CAD modelling tools is required, preferably Unigraphics NX 7.5, Teamcenter 8.3 and SAP R3. Preferably knowledge or experience within the following competences: - Fatigue of elastic elements. - Dynamical behaviour of mechanical systems. - Advanced materials (tribology, coatings, outgassing, etc.). - Joining technologies: fasteners, adhesives, welding, O-rings, etc.

Personal skills
Very good technical skills with a pragmatic attitude. Creative thinking capability. Critical on results. Good communicational skills, team player and good knowledge of the English language.
