QA Test Manager

QA Test Manager - Dimensions:
  • Leading test teams to support key IT change projects and programmes
  • Implementing QA and Testing best practices
  • Offering advice and guidance to peers and colleagues
  • Providing Test and QA input into all projects
  • Formulating test strategies and detailing test plans
  • Defining quality criteria
  • Managing test scripting and execution
  • Reporting progress and issues
  • Configuring and supporting test environments
  • Preparing test data
  • Documenting results, risks and issues


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Ownership of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Ownership of standards relating to QA and Test
  • Ensure all Project Managers understand the IT policies and standards including SDLC and SOX processes, where appropriate
  • Ownership of the HP tool set (QualityCenter, Quick Test Professional and LoadRunner)
  • Coordination of test environment bookings
  • Provision of technical and advisory services to IT Projects on all aspects of QA and test, promoting a defect prevention approach
  • Supporting project members in carrying out document reviews to address quality issues at the earliest opportunity
  • Provide timely updates to users and management on problem resolution
  • Record, track and report progress on outstanding issues
  • Add to the internal support knowledge base where appropriate

QA Test Manager - Key Performance Indicators: Measures of successful performance in the role relating to the Key Accountabilities and In Control indicators.

  • Ensure that QA and Testing are involved with all projects and can input into the project process

  • Assist and drive common process and procedures across ADM WBM


QA Test Manager - Core Competencies:
  • Proven track record of successfully leading major projects across multiple platforms
  • Experience implementing and supporting Test and QA disciplines, techniques and processes for Financial Markets and Banking area in a Test Manager role
  • Strong financial domain knowledge in FX, fixed income, equity derivatives, etc.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical skills in Test and QA technologies and processes
  • Proven track record of successful service delivery through the full project and development lifecycles
  • Proven track record of working within a team, coping with pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Product knowledge of the following is essential:
    • HPQualityCenter
    • HP Quick Test Professional
    • HP LoadRunner
  • ISEB Practitioner level would be a distinct advantage
