Huxley Associates are looking for an electrically biased Project Engineer, Electrical/ Electronic Design Engineer for a role in Staffordshire.Purpose or aim of job: The implementation of the pilot plant facility and the design of electrical and electronic hardware for research and development of ceramic firing processes.
Principal responsibilities:
* To oversee and implement successful facility installation for project execution.
* To integrate engineering skills of electronic field generation and control within the project team, specifically:
1. electronic hardware design,
2. dc field control,
3. safety.
* To design equipment that is practical on an industrial scale.
* To design working equipment that is operational at high temperatures.
* To contribute to achievement of the overall objectives of the project team by integrating with all the participating scientific disciplines.
* Establish close working relationships with clients through discussion of their needs, the design proposals and results of experiments and trials.
* To prepare technical documentation and reports; participate in design reviews.
Qualifications / knowledge / experience needed for job:
* Post Graduate degree in Electronics Engineering.
* Minimum 3-5 years industrial experience in project engineering.
* Experience in electronics hardware design within industrial processes.
* A working knowledge of the following: digital electronics, analogue electronics, mechanical engineering, dc electronics, Installed System evaluation and test.
* The ability to communicate and work collaboratively at a high level in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Market and financial awareness.
* Internal and external communication and team working skills.
* Innovative and able to challenge conventional thinking while maintaining focus on project objectives.
