My Wirral based client is seeking an individual that will have responsiblity for a 24 x 7 network environment where uptime, response and repair are critical to servicing all impacting issues.Contract length: 6months, Rate: £350 - £400, Start date: 2weeks, Location: Liverpool
My client's Network Infrastructure supports their end clients, corporate employees, and vendor contractors.
The Role:
Lead a large team of managed service teams where focus will be on supporting a large-scale environment while delivering high availability and uptime.
Proactively monitor all network infrastructure and services.
Ensure all processes and procedures, and escalation points have been implemented and followed through.
Qualifications:
8 years experience of recent operational hands on experience in highly scalable and availability footprints across various network technologies.
Experience in a large Retail or ISP Provider
Familiarity with Enterprise routers and switches (Juniper & Cisco)
Familiarity with Load Balancers and experience across multiple vendors - preferably F5
Understanding and Experience working with network security features (ACLs, VPN, L2VPN, L3VPN, IPSEC, GRE), with a focus on Cisco, Juniper, and Netscreen platforms.
Knowledge of Network Routing and Switching protocols; BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP
Desirable:
Familiarity with Unix especially in respect to networking
