Candidates will not be considered unless they have gained previous negotiating experience within a variety of financial traded markets and funds.
Primary function of the role is to support and facilitate the treasury and capital market business with its global clients by supporting sales and counterparty relationship managers through the negotiation of traded products master agreements documentation and related amendment agreements (primarily derivatives (ISDA) and securities financing master agreements), in accordance with Group and local policies.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of a variety of traded markets master agreement documentation and their underlying products (ISDA and other market standard derivatives and securities financing agreements) and credit, legal, regulatory and operational issues/risks.
Must understand the bigger picture of the financial markets and understand business and regulatory implications of documentation aspects, being responsive and focused on client service.
Ideally candidates will have a legal background (qualified lawyer or law degree) with extensive negotiating experience with a wide range of fund types and structures, including hedge funds, across multiple jurisdictions.
Candidates must be commercial and solutions focused with the ability to draft appropriate legal provisions reflecting the agreed outcome, highly organized, capable of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and external clients and able to give guidance to key stakeholders and strategically think through solutions.
Primary responsibility is the timely, consistent and effective negotiation of treasury product documentation upon request from group relationship managers and group offices offering a client friendly service to both internal and external clients to help our internal clients facilitate their business.
