A position has become available for a MS SQL Server expert/developer with Client in Luxembourg. Offering a competitive daily salary, the Contractor will be working within an IT Development Team which is dedicated to NDSS Software.
The NDSS is an automated and integrated logistics software support tool designed, developed and supported by Our Client. It covers the main logistic functions such as item identification, supply, maintenance and property accounting.
The application software is written in PowerBuilder and Microsoft .NET framework and implemented in a Client Server environment. The NDSS is installed at over 60 individual sites.
Mission:
Within the IT development and DBA teams dedicated to NDSS software, the MS SQL Server expert/developer will have the following responsibilities:
- Administrate and optimize databases
- Undertake studies (risks, mitigation plan, action plan)
- Implement and optimize SQL queries and jobs
- Implement, tune and maintain SSIS Jobs
- Implement, customize and maintain dedicated SSRS platform
- Migrate existing multi-platforms reports (PowerBuilder/MS access) and design of new reports
- Collect, identify and analyze requirements, in collaboration with customers
- Development of .NET custom tools
- Provide technical expertise in .NET and SQL Server areas
Technical skills:
- Outstanding knowledge of SQL tools: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server BI products: Integration services and reporting services
- Very good knowledge of windows/web-based development tools: Microsoft Visual Studio.NET
- Very good knowledge of Transact-SQL and the related XML technologies
- Very good knowledge of NDSS and PAM databases models
- Knowledge of ASP components, COM/COM+ technologies, Web Services and IIS
Required certifications:
- MCTS - SQL Server 2008, Database Development
- MCTS - SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance
Experience:
- Proven experience in implementing and customizing a custom SSRS platform
- Proven experience in migrating multi-platforms reports to SSRS and implementing new ones
- Proven experience in T-SQL, SQL server artifacts and SSIS
- Experience in .NET development
- Experience with B2B projects including technologies such as XML/XSL, C#.
- Experience in facilitating and assisting meetings with customers
- A previous experience of minimum 3 months with NDSS software is mandatory.
