Our client an international consultancy is now looking to recruit software Test Analysts for a 6 month contract based in Dublin City Centre The Test Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases To ensure that the software conforms to defined acceptance criteria and feature design documents, as well as application standards. Roles amp; Responsibilities of a Test Analyst: Ability to analyse requirements from all documentation attained from client, including Functional Specifications and process flows obtained from the Business Analyst. Communicate with the Business Analyst to gain clarification on Requirements, if necessary Identify gaps in coverage and communicating to the Test Lead. Participate in preparing Test Plans. Prepare Test Scenarios based on the requirements within the Functional Specification. Communicate with the Business Analyst to identify test Scenarios. Prepare Test Cases for System Testing, Regression Testing, End-to-End Testing and Deployment Testing. Prepare Test Data for the test case execution. Prepare Test Environment to execute the test cases and identifying system/access requirements. Execute Test Cases - ; taking screenshots and provide evidence of test results. Log detailed defects in defect management tool adhering to defect guidelines. Retest defects promptly and ensure no knock on problems are introduced as a side effect. Use test management tool to a high standard to manage tests and defects effectively. Give mandatory information of a defect to developers in order to fix it, by initially provided ample information in the defect details and thereafter, provide further information on defect calls or elsewhere, on request. Troubleshoot issues where they arise to provide as much information about the problem to ensure prompt resolution. Preparing Summary Reports and ensuring that blocking issues are reported promptly to the test lead/manager Preparing Suggestion Documents to improve the quality of the application. Communication with the Test Lead / Test Manager on any issues or queries regarding the project or otherwise. The Test Analyst is expected to build, share and retain critical in#8208;depth knowledge of the systems under test. Desired Skills amp; Experience Essential 3rd level qualification (ideally in IT) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail Shows a good understanding of software testing High levels of commitment and personal accountability and a passion to constantly challenge and improve existing processes to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction Shows initiative at all times Proven ability to respond well to change and maintain flexibility while keeping focus on objectives Strong team player as well as being able to work on your own Desirable ISTQB certification in Software Testing Technical skills - SQL, UNIX, Agile, Selenium, Java, JUNIT, Perl, Python Non-functional testing Send CVs to John Cronin at FRS Recruitment is committed to promoting diversity and disability in the work place and is a KANCHI 100 company
