RAN (HW) Test Engineer – UK & IrelandOn behalf of our client, a prestigious International Telecommunications company, Manning Global is currently looking for number of experienced RAN Hardware Test Engineer for a 1 year contract position in the UK and Ireland.
Purpose of the job:
• Lead and liaise with Samsung project team and define the test activities to fulfill technical requirements
• Prepare the Acceptance Testing test objects and procedures from RAN elements point of view. Focus on HW i.e. auxiliary, antenna systems and BTS HW
• Understands Product on SW and HW in detailed level
• Execute the acceptance testing
• Provide support during Rollout and Operation of the network
• Interface customer regarding the RAN technology and technical deployment topics and issues
Responsibilities:
• To provide engineering support on product level to support project delivery and product acceptance
• Provide support for RAN technical HW requirements clarification and consequent test requirements
• Execute acceptance tests together with customer representatives
• Troubleshoot and support error finding and resolution implementation processes
• Customer acceptance: a. Create acceptance Test Plans with R&D for his supported network element: b. Execute the test cases and coordinate the support with R&D support resources
Person Specification:
• Minimum of 7 years experience in Product Support: a. Excellent knowledge in Trouble shooting and Test case planning and execution for other Mobile vendors: b. In depth BTS HW understanding : c. BTS auxiliary material knowledge: d. Antenna knowledge
• Educated to Degree Level, preferably in Telecoms, Electronics or Computer Science
• MS Office Suite (Competent User)
• Excel, Word & PowerPoint (High Competence)
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Numerate with good report writing skills
