My client has an excellent opportunity for a Contract Firmware Engineer. The successful applicant will be an experienced embedded firmware engineer, working as part of the talented in house Research & Development team. You will demonstrate strong technical leadership, underpinned by your in depth knowledge of software lifecycles, configuration management and design methodologies, ideally with experience of working within a regulated environment.Responsibilities Include:
- Represent R&D technically throughout the organisation
- Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational regulations
- Provide sound solutions to non-clearly defined problems/issues which require a deep grasp of theory and trained analysis and the application of knowledge from outside the immediate field
- Autonomous technical decision making
- Identifying stakeholder needs and developing strategies to meet those needs
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of:
- Experience of Embedded C development is essential.
- You will be able to show experience of developing safety critical systems to include development rugged embedded code.
- A background in safety critical development would be an advantage but other experience will be considered
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with IS0 9001 and 13485 would be beneficial.
