Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing services to provide payment and promotions platform solutions for all brands under Our company. In addition to that, you will participate in Architectural Design Review sessions and actively contribute to the improvement of development practices on the Global Payments Technology team.
Passion for software performance and metrics driven analysis is a must. Having the ability to work independently as well as part of team is critical to our success. This position will be involved in all phases of product development from review of functional specifications through assisting with test plans and final delivery into Production.
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience in an Object Oriented language (Java).
• 2 years experience in designing/developing mission critical service implementation (web services using J2EE).
• 1 year of experience with scripting languages (Unix shell scripting, Awk, Perl, Python, Groovy, etc).
• Must have operated mission critical systems.
• Great communications skills in written and verbal form.
• Experience working in an Agile methodology. This includes deep knowledge and experience with unit testing tools and techniques, continuous integration systems and source code refactoring.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities
• Experience working in the Payments, Promotions or e-commerce space.
• Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
