Sitec are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 12 month contract and is paying on an hourly basis.

Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment.

Job/Role Purpose:
To be a full and proactive member of a team that provides multi-discipline Engineering Solutions.
Provide the through life EC&I Engineering content of Engineering Solutions from problem definition through design, manufacture, works test, Installation, commission, site acceptance testing and culminating in Project Closure.

Key Accountabilities (Process and Production):
Contribute toward and / or take responsibility for elements and interfaces of the EC&I Engineering Solution of each FEL Gate

Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of:
1. Electrical Control & Instrumentation engineering.
2. Safety Systems to BS En 61508 et al.
3. Control Systems and philosophies.
4. Process instrumentation.
5. Equipment selection and specification.
General understanding of:
1. Nuclear and Conventional Safety.
2. Process Engineering.
3. Programming and Software
4. EMC Emissions and Immunities.
5. Mechanical engineering systems.
6. Hazardous Area Classification.
Basic awareness of:
7. Project Management for study/project scheduling of engineering activities, detailed planning and reporting own work in terms of progress and schedule.
8. Budget systems within a project for personal productivity tracking and for projects and overhead use.

Qualifications:
9. Degree or equivalent in E C & I Engineering; or other Technical discipline if supporting knowledge and experience supports required expertise and intended areas of work.
10. Chartered status preferred.

Special Requirements:
11. Willing to travel / spend time away from home in the UK, US and mainland Europe as necessary.
12. Personal integrity - Should be professional and protect client's interests.
13. To be fit and able to work in any area on a nuclear licensed site including explosives areas.
14. Full UK driving license.
